Welcome to Last Lap Lime, one of Toronto’s top summer events for the Guyanese community. Each year we come together to celebrate Caribana and enjoy Caribbean delicacies and entertainment while raising funds to help our schools back in Guyana. It is the only event of its kind in North America.
The 2017 Lime will be held on August 7, 2017 at the Woodbridge Fairgrounds. This year we will offer a wide range of food and entertainment including special performances by guest artistes. Take advantage of early-bird pricing and special offers for bulk purchases or pay more at the door. Click here for more information on tickets.
We thank you for your continued support and promise that this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever as we prepare to celebrate a day of fun and excitement under the theme of “Let’s celebrate Canada’s 150”
We continue to provide an event which helps to bring our Community together. The funds raised at the event are sent back to support the four High Schools in Guyana. This support is greatly appreciated by the students and provides an opportunity to assist them achieve academic excellence.
Over the past 21 years LLL has been operated by volunteers who work tirelessly for hours, weeks and months preparing a ‘gold standard’ event. We are continually looking for opportunities to reduce our operating costs.
Two years ago, in celebration of our 20th Anniversary. and in the spirit of giving back to all our great supporters, we lowered the admission fee to $10. With rising costs today (for Supplies, Equipment Rentals, Entertainment etc), we have no choice but to change our price back to $15. Thank you for your continued support and loyalty. We know you will understand and appreciate the reasons behind the price reversion.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Last Lap Lime on Monday August 7th at the Woodbridge Fairgrounds.
The Lime starts 1:00 pm.
LAST LAP LIME TICKETS – $10 BEFORE, $20 AT GATE. WHY?
We commit over $100,000 in “out of pocket” expenses and food costs before a single LLL ticket is SOLD. Pre-sold tickets ($10) allow us to PLAN better and EXECUTE according to plan.
We advertise both prices EXTENSIVELY before the Lime. Each alumni association guarantees to buy 500 $10 tickets whether they sell them or not. Out-of-town Limers can pre-order tickets by sending in their cheques. All this to alleviate the $100,000 in upfront costs we are risking.
PLAN EARLY BUY TICKETS AT $10, NOT $20.
